John Taig                   Dealer Principal 

From a very young age John would accompany his father Alf to International Harvester in the City. So at the age of 19 when he started in the service department, he was fairly familiar with what was going on in the business. From the service department, he moved into machinery assembly and delivery and at the age of 21 began his career as a salesman door to door selling.  In the mid 80’s International sold off the machinery division to Case, and then we were truck dealers only, which was more to Johns liking.  In 1987 John purchased the company from his family (Alf, Ron and Norm) and in 1989 he expanded the business purchasing the Albury dealership.  He has seen a lot of changes in his 40 plus years, some good some bad but one thing that hasn’t changed is his love and passion for the transport industry.

Mark Harkins                                         Service Manager 

Mark has come to Taig Bros as Service Manager, with 26 years of experience within the industry.  Mark has held the position of Workshop Manager & Group Service Manager at Telstra, WP Machinery & Westar Trucks over the past 15 years. He has worked on Ford, Freightliner, Western Star, Scania, Volvo, Man, Hino, Mitsibihi, Isuzu and Iveco. He is a qualified diesel technician having completed numerous courses in electronic diesel diagnosis and repair.  Mark also holds licenses Certificate 2 in Air Conditioning, Roadworthy Tester and LPG Gas Installer. 

Kevin Brown                                  Parts Manager

Kevin’s job involves keeping control of the 98 455 parts sold by Taig Bros, and ensuring there are adequate stocks of all that is needed.  Kevin’s history includes Spare Parts Manager for ITAL Victoria, Tasmania and South Austraila, and sees him now taking on the role as TAIG Bros Customer Care Specialist for ISUZU.

Merv Walker                                    Truck Sales  

Merv has clocked up 45 Years with Taig’s, progressing from spare parts to the ISUZU Regional ‘Elite’ Salesman. Merv says “Our customers are just like family and friends from the first time we deal with them, and it’s our duty and privilege to give them all the product knowledge and help they need.  Selling is the greatest job, especially if you enjoy people”

Don Mills                                          Truck Sales

From Seymour to Griffith he is better known as “Millsy”.  Millsy started his sales career is 1964, selling Holden, Bedford, Cheverlet, Buicks. He has progressed through the industry working in spare parts, farm equipment and even accounting.  He came to Taig Bros in 1976 with experience in selling Hino, Mercedes, Western Star, International IVECO and ISUZU. Don says “We need to do everything to exceed our customers expectations”.                                    

Jason Hanley                                 Truck Sales

Jason has been involved with trucks ever since he was a young child. His father was a driver and  his step father has been in the industry for over 35 years.  Jason has had a wide variety of training in both the spare parts and truck sales fields and has access to state of the art Assistance from the Iveco Trucks engineering department. He started here at Taig Bros Shepparton in our spare parts department before moving to Albury to fill the role of Spare Parts Manager. Jason has since returned back to Shepparton as our IVECO and INTERNATIONAL Truck Sales Manager.
